By now, you may have seen a video from downtown Austin in which one of our company’s partners was involved in an incident where he made racist and discriminatory remarks. His behavior and remarks were wrong and do not represent JP Exteriors or its values. This is not how we treat our customers, our employees, or anyone else.
To everyone hurt by this incident, we offer our deepest apologies and ask for forgiveness.
The company’s other partners took immediate action and removed him from his position at JP Exteriors. Every employee and crew member heard this directly from leadership this week, and everyone, at every level, is held to the same standard of respect and consideration for people of all backgrounds, whether in a customer’s home, on a job site, or in public.
JP Exteriors is made up of approximately 40 hardworking team members. One individual’s actions do not represent the character or values of these employees. These are real people with families to support and livelihoods to protect. We ask that they be treated with compassion and not judged by the actions of one individual.
We remain committed to serving our community with the integrity and respect it deserves. Our focus moving forward is on demonstrating those values through our actions.
If you’re a customer, partner, or neighbor with questions or concerns, please contact our office or your point of contact, and a member of our leadership team will respond directly.
